The stone cottage, set in its own mature garden, has been recently renovated whilst retaining much of its original character. Close to countless attractions yet secluded, this holiday cottage offers all visitors a peaceful haven however you wish to spend your day. The closest pub is a short walk from the cottage. The market town Leyburn 4 miles from village offers great shopping for visitors. As a tributary to the popular Wensleydale, Coverdale is a forgotten gem of the Yorkshire Dales is surrounded by ancient byways and footpaths and brimming with wildlife. Mile House East is the perfect base from which to explore the Dales whether by foot, bike or car. An extensive network of footpaths can be accessed from the village.

Summary: The house is absolutely gorgeous but could do with a really good clean. The views from the house & the garden are stunning & we could happily move there to live permanently. The weather was hot & we could have done with fans in each of thr bedrooms but none were supplied.Downstairs is dog friendly, which consists of kitchen, toilet, living room (which dogs have obviously been sitting on & smells doggy) & the dining room. Upstairs are the bedrooms & a lovely clean comfortable living room with pool table. Dogs are not permitted upstairs & shut off by stair gates. Guests need to be aware that despite the house being dog friendly the garden isnt secure at all so pets cannot be let off the lead for a wee.We had a special meal at the Foresters Arms just down the road which was limited fine dining & beautiful. We would recommend both the house & local area.
